State of Oklahoma (Year Long Trainings): Supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities and Other Special Learning Needs. Trainer-of-trainer component held in 1998-99, 2000-2001. In 1997 helped organize and coordinate statewide, multi-agency task force that set state policy and supported evaluation of state programs for individuals with special needs. In 1999-2000 taught The Reading Process – Teaching Reading to Adults in Adult Education and Literacy Programs. A Trainer-of-trainer component held in 2001. A Woodcock-Johnson-Third Edition, Tests of Achievement, training on the broad scores as updates for GED Accommodations. A number of 2003-2004 trainings have been held or are scheduled – Using Adult Education and Literacy Evaluation Data for Program Improvement, Instructing GED Examiners on Accommodations for Adults with Disabilities, Supporting Adults with Learning Differences and Leaning Disabilities, and Reading, Writing and Math Strategies for the Adult Education Teacher. Did training for and worked with correctional facilities. In 2004-2005 five programs across the state were evaluated and technical assistance was provided to the program directors and instructors. In addition, technical assistance workshops were provided including one titled – Adult Education: More than a GED held in McAlester. In addition at the GED Chief Examiners meeting, Instructing GED Examiners on Accommodations for Adults with Disabilities was provided and Back to Basics, Instruction in Reading, Writing, and Math Strategies for the Adult Education Teacher was provided. In 2005-2006, eight programs across the state were evaluated and technical assistance was provided to the program directors and instructors. In addition, Supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities and Other Special Learning Needs, the 12-day yearlong training was again provided, as was Back to Basics training. In 2006-2007 nine programs across the state were evaluated and technical assistance was provided to the program directors and instructors. In addition a training titled Goal Setting to Lesson Planning was planned and training was provided. In 2007-2008 six programs across the state were evaluated and technical assistance was provided to the program directors and instructors. In 2008-2009 seven to nine programs across the state will be evaluated and technical assistance was provided to the program directors and instructors. In 2007-2007 training titled Teaching in Adult Education: Instructing Adults was planned and training was provided. In 2008-2009 training on Learning Disabilities in Adult Education was be provided. In 2009 – 2010 – contract continued for trainings, program evaluations, etc. In 2010-2011 – limited contract in support of GED accommodations issues. In 2012/2012 trained at and supported (evaluated) adult education program at Oklahoma City Community College.

General Educational Development Testing Service (GEDTS): Disabilities Consultant – providing evaluation of accommodation’s policy, reviewing accommodations requests, and providing informational training to state GED Examiners and also teaching the “review” process to State GED Administrators and designees across the country. Have provided individual State GED Administer training in Illinois, New York, and Louisiana. Have provided training to other GED State Administrators in group-sessions in Washington and at yearly conference – most recently in Savannah, GA in 2009 and for the 2010 GED Administrators conference in St Louis.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Project – Worked with Oklahoma City Community College in support of their newly formed TANF classes in adult education.

Transition Project – Created a training module on transition planning and supportive services in adult education in Illinois. Worked with the Southern Illinois Professional Development Center, a part of the Southern Illinois University.
